According to the police, the fight may have been sparked by the 22-year-old insulting several youths. At first it was just a verbal argument, but around 3am the situation escalated. The ten men, aged between 16 and 22, attacked each other with kicks, massive punches and glass bottles.
At least two youths were injured, although a 20-year-old man was later found lying on the ground by police officers not far from the town square. He was taken to the Salzkammergut clinic in Voglabrück.
The police said that since the fight was filmed by the bystanders, many criminals could be traced, identified and controlled.
Six county patrolmen had to intervene and two emergency vehicles were called to the scene.
