Mozilla is testing an AI-based chatbot integration for Firefox. A special feature is that Mozilla does not commit to one provider, but instead offers the user a choice between different providers, including Google Gemini and ChatGPT. More experienced users can use :config , for example llamafile from Mozilla, to configure their own instructions for the context menu or another compatible chatbot, among others, to run open source models on the device. Since the latter is a bit more complicated, Mozilla is still exploring how to provide an easy setup option for a fully localized chatbot in the future.
