Championship celebration postponed! Sturm Cross missed the win against Lask

The champion of the Admiral Bundesliga will be decided on the 32nd and last matchday!

SK Sturm missed out on their first title match point with a 2-2 draw at LASK on Saturday, while their rivals Salzburg celebrated a clear win against Hartberg.

The title fight will be decided in the final round on Sunday. Then Sturm Klagenfurter host Austria in the cross and have all the cards in their hands to be crowned champions for the first time since 2011.

Kittishvili braces

LASK took the lead after 20 minutes through Flecker, who let Ljubicic through a Taoui cross and the goalscorer had to push in. The Athletics’ subsequent surge came to an abrupt end ten minutes later: Kiteshvili intercepted Laval’s short goal kick and equalized (30′).

Immediately after the break, Kroos turned the game around, Gideishvili scoring his brace with a remarkable shot in the far corner (48′).

Just before the end, Jatta hit the crossbar with a header as it ended up being a 2-2 draw and Sturm had to postpone their championship celebrations. Kroos are now two points ahead of Salzburg. On the other hand, LASK is firmly in the third position.
