Kate's absence is fueling affair rumors again
Kate is fine but the palace said she will not be able to return to work until Easter, after speculation was raised about Catherine's condition and whereabouts.
Royal fans are not entirely convinced by the information from the palace. And now the speculation is getting worse: conspiracy theorists are speculating that Kate might actually be hiding because her husband cheated on her.
Rumors have been swirling since 2019 that she is having an affair with William the Margrave. Rose Hanbury who was once considered a good friend of Kate's. Speculations were repeatedly refuted by well-connected elite experts.
The rumor has now been fueled again by the US assessor Stephen Colbert. On her show “The Late Show” she mocked the conspiracy theories surrounding Kate and once again brought the name of Rose, Duchess of Cholmondeley into play.
“Kate Middleton's apparent disappearance has thrown the kingdom into turmoil. Now internet pundits suspect Kate's absence may be linked to her husband, William, the future King of England,” she says on her show. “So I think we all know who the alleged other lady is supposed to be. Say with me – the Marchioness of Cholmondeley – what a lovely name.”
