The light aircraft disappeared without a trace – 5 minutes

On the afternoon of 30 March 2024, Soltan Police Station reported that contact with the pilot of the light aircraft had been lost. The flight took off from Italy to Germany.

The last reported location is the northeastern part of Soltan. Although flights were visited by police helicopters, these had to be temporarily canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions. Further investigations into the flight data are currently underway to clarify the whereabouts of the aircraft and its pilot.

Light aircraft and pilot missing – accident not ruled out

According to current findings, the pilot is believed to have been alone on the plane. The possibility of an accident cannot be ruled out. Police are therefore appealing for any relevant information or possible sightings of the single-engine light aircraft.
