The smell of the circus is in the air! The KRAPOLDI festival takes place in Innsbruck for the 5th time and invites you to an incomparable experience from August 23 to September 1, 2024. This time again, the festival brings internationally celebrated troupes and artistes from fields like clowning, new circus and street theater to the state capital.
For five years now, the KRAPOLDI festival has been a highlight in Innsbruck’s event calendar and this year promises an interesting show showcasing the colorful diversity of the new circus. From mesmerizing solo acts to talented group performances, the festival transforms the city into a place of art, laughter and charm and audience delight. Be it great performances, comedy clowns that make the audience laugh without saying much or the magic of street theatre, KRAPOLDI festival has something for everyone.

The festival begins on August 23rd and 24th, when Innsbruck’s city center is transformed into a giant circus ring. These two days set the tone for the entire festival, enlivening the streets with impressive and high-class performers and acrobats, creating a special atmosphere in the city.
International ensembles and acrobatic masterpieces delight the two tents in Raboldi Park
With the big circus parade on Tuesday, August 27, the Rapoldi Festival will move from the city center to its “home”, Rapoldi Park. Colorful fairy lights, a wonderful water cafe and serving clowns transform the park into a magical oasis. Big eyes, enthusiastic applause in the stands, daring jumps, funny characters and poetic performances in the ring – you can enjoy in the big circus tents in the middle of Raboldi Park.
Internationally award-winning ensembles return to Innsbruck this year to dazzle. This time includes French-Italian circus collaborations My!, which enchants with its Austrian premiere. German troops Triple Enthralls with a spectacular show of artistry, music and comedy. Austrian troops CIR Collectors The circus uses the tent as a stage for world-class acrobatics. This will also be interesting Pardelia joint, which presents a contemporary circus piece and impresses with, among other things, “hair hanging”. There are also funny clowns for younger guests Herbert & Mimi, Theater plays and acrobatics provide a special experience in the tents.
Ticket sales for the events in the tents have already begun. The stand has limited seating, so it’s worth being quick.
