“Nature in the garden”: the autumn program begins

After successful lectures and workshops last fall and spring, the “Nature in the Garden” event series will continue this fall. “Along with experts from the ‘Nature in the Garden’ initiative, interesting facts about eco-design and maintenance of green spaces will be retold,” says City Councilor Sasha Jabali Ade, Nature and Environment Conservation Officer.


The autumn series kicks off on September 25 (6pm to 8pm) at the Volkshaus Maria Gael with free admission. Title: “Homemade Seeds! What your own home garden has to offer. The aim is to harvest not only fruit from your own vegetables, but also seeds for the coming year. “It makes you independent, makes you happy and helps preserve diversity,” says city councilor Jabali Ade. Heidemarie Birker’s lecture explains how you can propagate your favorite varieties and which varieties are suitable for beginners.

  • A talk on “Healthy Harvesting from the Home Garden” will be held on November 13 (6pm to 8pm) in Paracelsus Hall, Town Hall.
  • Admission is free, no registration required.
