A young mother of three lost her life yesterday, July 26, 2024, in a tragic accident in Bad Leonfelden.
Bad Leonfelden. Yesterday, July 26, 2024, at 1:25 p.m., a 34-year-old woman from Linz was driving her car on the B 126 from Bad Leonfelden towards Zwettl/Rodl. Her three children, aged ten, six and three, were in the car. At the same time, a 49-year-old man from Rohrbach district drove the truck in the opposite direction.
The mother died of her injuries
According to witnesses, the woman crossed the oncoming lane in a long curve due to high speed. As a result, the two vehicles collided head-on and the accident occurred. As a result, the car overturned and landed on the shoulder. First aid measures were immediately initiated by the Zwett/Rodl emergency medical team and the C10 rescue helicopter and the Bad Leonfelden rescue team. However, the 34-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries on the spot. All three children were taken to a hospital in Linz with unspecified injuries. The lorry driver is said to have suffered severe shock and received medical treatment.
