Federal Minister Leonor Küssler presented Mayor Markus Vogel with a “pioneer city block” for the city of Steyr in recognition of the successfully developed and approved climate neutral roadmap.

Cities of 10,000 to 50,000 inhabitants are pioneering smaller cities in working on climate neutral roadmaps that include strategies and actions for energy and mobility transitions. These plans provide appropriate solutions and recommendations to reduce local emissions and achieve climate neutrality as soon as possible. Baden, Bregenz, Bruck/Mur, Feldbach, Feldkirch, Gratwein-Straßengel, Kapfenberg, St. John i. Tyrol, St. Veit/Glan, Steyr, Tulln, Vöcklabruck and Wiener Neustadt have drawn up their climate neutrality roadmaps in the last few months.
