Dominic Thiem starts his ATP farewell show against Luciano Tarteri from Italy in Vienna.
Tuesday will again be a theme day at the Erste Bank Open with a prize pool of €2,626,045. Dominic Thiem (ATP 318), the fan favorite and 2019 Vienna champion, meets Italian Luciano Tarteri, currently ranked 42nd in the world, in the opening round of his last ATP tournament at 6:00 p.m. The match can be seen live on ORF 1 (continues on ORF SPORT+ from 7:45 pm) and ServusTV.
The second match of the main event begins at 2:00 pm at the Wiener Stadthalle with a match between German Jan-Lenard Struff (ATP 40) and Australian second seed Alex de Minaur (ATP 10). After that, 2021 fifth-seeded Vienna finalist Frances Tiafoe (ATP 15) of the United States will take on Britain’s Cameron Norrie (ATP 53) at this year’s Erste Bank Open. Another highlight is the last match between wildcard Japanese superstar Kei Nishikori (ATP 141) and seventh seed Brit Jack Draper (ATP 18). ServusTV broadcasts the first three matches live at Center Court, with ORF broadcasting the last two games.
At the Erste Bank Open 2 Go on the premises of the Vienna Ice Skating Club in Heumarkt, four singles and two doubles matches will be played from 12:00 noon, including the French duel between Gael Monfils (ATP 52) and the qualifier. Quentin Hollis (ATP 90).
