Bruza offers a mobile app for 3D printer remote control

3D printer manufacturer Brusa has a new mobile app Android And iOS Published. The app extends the functionality of the Brusa Connect system and allows users to remotely control their 3D printers via smartphones and tablets.

The Brusa app provides clear access to the core functions of the Brusa Connect service. Users can check the status of their printers, control print jobs and manage uploaded files. A recently added feature allows viewing of images from external cameras connected to Brucea Connect.

A key feature of the app is the integration with the Brusa Printables platform. Users can search for 3D models directly in the app and send compatible G-code files to their printers. This feature is still under development and will be updated in future updates.

The app provides an intuitive user interface with a main dashboard showing all connected printers their current status, temperature and print jobs in progress. In the detailed view of the printer, you can find additional information such as printing history and camera images.

The app uses QR code scanning and NFC technology to easily set up new printers. Users can scan a QR code on the printer display or transfer WLAN access data via NFC.

Brusa emphasizes that using Brusa Connect and the mobile app is optional. All of the company’s printers are fully functional even without a network connection.

The developers are planning more features for future updates. These include advanced printer control, local printer storage management, print queue and the ability to schedule print jobs. System widgets are also planned for quick status overview.

The app is already very popular. According to Brusa, more than 10,000 users downloaded the app in its first week of release. The company currently has over 20,000 active users.
