Prince Harry celebrates his 40th birthday – greetings from the palace

The Sussexes, known as Harry and Meghan after their title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have lived in the US state of California for years. Relations with the rest of the British royal family are considered strained.

In particular, the Netflix documentary about Harry and Meghan’s exit from the royal family’s inner circle and the prince’s autobiography “Spare” (German: “Reserve”) are said to have deepened the gap.

Nevertheless, the Palace posted a birthday wish on X. “Happy birthday to the Duke of Sussex today!” A photo showed Harry.

According to the BBC, the fifth in line to the British throne said at the start of the new decade of his life: “At 30 I was worried, being a father gave him something new.” A sense of purpose, something to make the world a better place.

Harry and Meghan continue to be involved in charities. They recently visited Colombia at the invitation of the country’s Vice President. Harry’s most prestigious project is the Invictus Games, an international sports competition for military personnel wounded in action. The games were most recently played in Düsseldorf. They will be held next year in Vancouver, Canada.

British media have speculated about possible plans for Harry to return to the royal family. However, this is currently considered impossible. Her relationship with her brother Prince William, 42, was particularly strained. When they both recently got married in England and attended an uncle’s funeral, the brothers reportedly did not speak to each other.
