Due to high demand, an additional tour of the State Capital’s Summer Fair will take place next Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. Artist Don Fink will personally guide you through the “Solo.Tone” exhibition at the Palais Turn and Taxis.
The term “art is a way of life” coined by Antonin Artaud, a pioneer of avant-garde theater in the 20th century, aptly describes Don Fing’s artistic expression. During this performance tour, visitors have the opportunity to personally explore four levels of the exhibition with the artist. From basement to attic, the exhibition spans Don Fing’s 60-year creative career. Cinematic works, objects, drawings of stormy figures in the sky, paintings, sensual works and large-scale sculptural costumes are on display. A special highlight awaits visitors in the palace’s room, reminiscent of a cathedral: here Don Fink has installed three “attic rooms” that reveal an intimate and multifaceted world and reflect human existence in all its complexity.
On Sunday, September 1, 2024, the end of the Fair will be celebrated as “Finisage Sunday”. From 11am to 8pm, art lovers will have the opportunity to bid farewell to the exhibition with Don Fing. A variety show followed by a full day of drinking.
