Yesterday evening, the drunk driver of L579 veered off the road and collided with the vehicle.

A 39-year-old man from the Freistadt district was driving his vehicle on the L 579 last Friday, July 26 at 7:20 p.m., when he left the road and drove onto the right shoulder. As he backed up, he skidded and swerved the car 180 degrees into the oncoming lane, crashing into the rear of an oncoming vehicle. It was driven by a 64-year-old man, with another 64-year-old man from the Freistadt district sitting in the passenger seat. The 39-year-old was injured in the collision and was taken to hospital using the “Christophers 15”. The 39-year-old tested positive for alcohol.
