Campania’s Top 500: Palumbo Group ranks in 46th place

Posted by Vento on 8th March 2021 in International News, Local News

Through detailed research published in Il Mattino and carried out by PwC in Italy’s Campania region, it transpires that as evidenced by the same PwC’s Top 500 ranking for companies in the south, industry was booming prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

Overall, the year before the Covid pandemic hit, had ended with respectable results: turnover (50 billion euros) in growth of 6 percent, improvement of the diffused budget in 69% of companies, profit operating with an increase of 11%, with nearly 9 out of ten companies garnering positive results. Moreover, thanks to historic growth and resilience, most companies managed to resist the turbulent year of 2020 and its ensuing damage on local industry.

Closer to home, the same research shows that for the second year running Palumbo group was ranked among the top 500 companies in Campania. However, despite a tumultuous year which has shaken global industry to the core, Palumbo group managed to go one step further: This year the group ranked in at 46th place having successfully climbed from the 70th position of the previous year. Given the adverse situation, quite a positive result, indeed!
