Now that the transfer window is closed, all the rumours and transfers that were still on the line have by now come to an end. In the Premier League there have been several new purchases and this year will surely be a competitive season just like last year. This year more teams can surely make that extra push in order to have a go for the title.
‘The Citizens’ have made a purchase that will be an asset this season as he is considered as one of the best right-backs in the modern game. With only four games played, Liverpool have already shown that they will be a team to watch this season as they are the only team that have full points. Adrian was purchased for free from West Ham. His debut came early as he was considered to be Alisson’s backup but since the Brazilian goalkeeper got injured in the opening game of the season, Adrian won his place as Liverpool’s number 1. He immediately made an impact as he saved Tammy Abraham’s penalty in the Super Cup final.

This sum is more than Liverpool’s top defender Virgil Van Dijk who recently won the ‘UEFA Men’s Player of the Season’ award after a fantastic season last year. The English defender signs for 6 years.
The new promoted side have continued their search for new players in order to stay in England’s top tier. Marvelous Nakamba was purchased from Club Brugge and signed for 5 years. Brighton & Hove Albion:
‘The Seagulls’ have been extremely busy this transfer window in order not to get relegated since last year only 2 points separated them from being relegated to the Championship. Now that the transfer window is closed and four games have already been played, one can already tell which teams will challenge for the title although it’s still early. Liverpool and Manchester City are on top of their game and full of confidence both scoring more than 11 goals. Chelsea had poor start against Manchester United and losing the Super Cup final to Liverpool on penalties. Wolves also had a poor start, following their success in the Europa League they still haven’t hit their heights yet after finishing 7th last year. Sergio Aguero is also on top form and will surely want to get that golden boot at the end of the season. Teemu Pukki has also been clinical in front of goal as he has scored 5 goals already, following his hat-trick against Newcastle United. This will surely be an exciting season where many teams will have a go at the title.
