Children’s dreams come true once again this Christmas

Posted by Vento on 23rd December 2020 in Local News

The ‘Children’s Dreams’ initiative has raised around € 125,000 in gifts for children, who for some reason will not be in a position to receive gifts this Christmas time. Gifts ranging from clothing to laptops and televisions, will go to children living in residential homes and to those children living in vulnerable families because they also deserve a Merry Christmas. This was announced by Minister Michael Falzon during a news conference.

‘Children’s Dreams’ continued to grow from year to year and this was the eighth successful edition where once again the people showed confidence in this campaign.

The success behind the campaign is because there is reassurance that these are really vulnerable families, with fair assessment throughout the year. This is done by FSWS professionals who even prepare a clear care plan because ultimately the ultimate goal is not just the gift but to give these families the tools throughout the year to improve their conditions.

In addition to financial assistance, this ministry will remain committed to making the necessary changes in the field of child protection. Next year we will continue to see the carrying out of the reform of the child protection law so that we can continue to listen and take action on the wishes of the children themselves.
