Donations to the Community Chest Fund can now be made through the digital platform strinacrowdfunding.mt

The permanent digital platform strinacrowdfunding.mt, an initiative by Malta Government Investments (MGI) which creatively uses technology with the aim of raising funds for The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation, has now been launched. The theme chosen for this year’s campaign is ‘Kull qatra tgħodd‘, which loosely translated means ‘Every drop counts’.

During the launch of this initiative, President George Vella explained how the spirit of Christmas is truly manifested through the solidarity that the Maltese people can show with those around them. He thanked those companies that are already taking part in this platform while thanking in advance all the companies that are yet to join. He called for the people to participate as much as they can in order for this initiative to be successful and to continue from year to year, because disease and the help requested from the Community Chest Fund never stop.

For his part, the Minister for the Economy and Industry Silvio Schembri explained how against the backdrop of this project, an exercise was launched to coordinate different initiatives by a number of entities for the benefit of the Community Chest Fund. He stated that technology was an important source for the creation of the digital platform strinacrowdfunding.mt, through which people can make their donation when making use of services provided by companies taking part in the initiative. He urged businesses to come up with more promotional initiatives in favour of Istrina.

MGI Chief Executive, Herald Bonnici stated that during such times, more than ever we must seek innovative ways to reach the general public to raise funds for a noble cause.
