Nothing irregular in licensing – The Association of Catering Establishments (ACE)

Posted by Reuben Buttigieg - President of ACE on 1st November 2020 in Local News

The Association of Catering Establishments(ACE) wants to clarify that it never said there are irregularities in licensing. The ACE said that there are different licensing mechanisms and entities.

The way this evolved during the years has created unfair competition in the current circumstances. The legal notice issued should have been more clear in order to define what establishments it wishes to close and/or not serve alcohol. The legal notice does not take into account the circumstances in the sector.

Furthermore, the ACE categorically denies it ever mentioned individual examples in its statements.
