A press release issued by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health states that as of Thursday 29th October, all bars and clubs must remain closed. This measure will be in force until the first (1) of December 2020 until 6 am.
Sam release says that while snack bars and kiosks may remain open, however they may not, in any instance, supply, offer or sell any type of alcoholic beverage to customers and shall close between 11pm and 5am of the next morning.
Also on Thursday, the maximum number of people who can gather in a group in public spaces will be reduced from 10 people to 6 people.
This means that in public spaces, groups of more than 6 people are prohibited including in queues and at bus stops, unless the social distance of two meters between them is maintained. This measure does not apply to persons living in the same residence. The fine for non-compliance with this measure will be increased to two hundred Euros (€ 200), but if the penalty is paid before the proceedings before the Commissioner of Justice are initiated, the fine will be reduced to one hundred Euros (€ 100).
These measures are coming into force after consultation with the Superintendent of Public Health in order to further limit the spread of COVID-19.
