Bank of Valletta would like to advise customers that its Gżira Branch will reopen as from Saturday 22 August 2020.
The BOV Gżira Branch was temporarily closed after one of its staff tested positive for COVID-19. All remaining staff are following Health Authorities’ instructions. The Bank contracted an infection prevention control specialist to disinfect the Branch. The operation was completed and it has been ascertained that the Branch is safe to reopen. The Bank has made arrangements for staff members from other BOV units to service customers from this Branch.
The Health Authority will in the meantime be contacting those individuals who might have been exposed to the contagion as part of their contact tracing protocol.
Bank of Valletta will continue to take all the necessary measures in the best interest and safety of customers and staff and is once again encouraging customers to use its wide network of ATMs, BOV Internet Banking, BOV Mobile Banking, BOV Pay and BOV Debit and Credit Cards for their banking and payment needs. Moreover, it reminds customers visiting bank’s premises to follow the necessary precautions such as safe social distancing, proper wearing of masks and sanitising.
