Nationalist Party veteran, Robert Arrigo, has resigned resigned his role as Deputy Leader of the Nationalist Party. Arrigo has occupied this role since 2017. Arrigo’s resignation comes amid severe unrest within the party, as leader of the Nationalist Party Adrian Delia is under great pressure to resign, after 17 members of the PN’s Parliamentary Group voted for the same Delia to reconsider its position. It was the first time that the Parliamentary Group has challenged Delia and his position as leader of the party, a role he has occupied since 2017.
However, following yesterday’s meeting, Adrian Delia reiterated that he will continue to lead the party until the upcoming general election.
