“The termination of the contract awarded to Adrian Hillman by the government of Joseph Muscat immediately after the 2013 election, as a consultant to the Malta Authority Gaming, is not enough. It should be just the first step to out the full truth and do justice.” This was claimed by Repubblika this morning in reaction to the news that Parliamentary Secretary, Clayton Bartolo has terminated Hillman’s contracts with the MGA.
In its statement Repubblika continues that, “The reason given for the termination of Adrian Hillman’s contract amounts to a criminal offence and therefore it is obvious that the police should investigate Hillman without dragging their feet.”
Repubblika reminded that Hillman is still representing the Maltese Government on the Board of Trustees of the American University and “Owen Bonnici and Robert Abela must remove Hillman from this role as well.”
“We also want to know how long the Malta Gaming Authority has known about this situation and when this was first reported,” Repubblika’s statement concluded, reiterating that it is still awaiting the outcome of the inquiries relating to Hillman and Keith Schembri, who are being accused of money laundering.
