At the beginning of today’s Parliamentary session, Opposition Leader Adrian Delia informed Speaker Anglu Farrugia that the Nationalist opposition will not participate in Parliament as long as Joseph Muscat continues as Prime Minister.
The sitting descended in chaos, with the majority of MPs, including those of the Government, shouting and hurling insults at each other until the PN deputies left the plenary. Opposition MPs also scattered counterfeit € 5,000 notes printed with Muscat, Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi’s faces. Godfrey Farrugia and Marlene Farrugia remained in parliament.
In his remarks, Adrian Delia commented that Muscat will remain Prime Minister for another month to “manipulate and manoeuvre” the investigation to save Keith Schembri.
