Speaking in Parliament last night, Leader of the Opposition, Adrian Delia, claimed that the Prime Minister instead of sacking Keith Schembri chose to effusively thank him for his contribution to the country. “Muscat had a choice. Choosing to dismiss Keith Schembri. Instead he thanked him – a person who’s under investigation, faced with accusations which have been previously unheard of in politics.”
“And the PM has told us that he moves on. Moves on?” added Delia. “Muscat must bear responsibility. The biggest enemy of stability in our country is the Prime Minister himself,” stressed Delia. “People on the street say that this is not a Labour or Nationalist issue. This is a moment in our country, when anyone who believes in our country must speak up and do something,” said Delia.
“Muscat should instead admit that in six years they have destroyed our country, the work of those who believe in righteousness and truth and not thank Keith Schembri!”
