111 new doctors, of whom 101 are Maltese, have embarked on their careers within the public health system at Mater Dei Hospital. Later this year more doctors are expected to join the health service.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne congratulated the new doctors who joined our country’s health sector.
“I am honoured that every year our sector is endowed with so many new professionals. It is only by virtue of these new talents, who join the rest of the professionals in our hospitals, that we can continue to offer the highest level of health services. And it is through these same new doctors that we annually manage to increase our services so that the Maltese and Gozitan people can receive only the best medical service, which is considered as one of the top 10 health services in the world,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health, Chris Fearne.
