A summer programme launched by The Malta Institute of Management and Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School Paola
My Future – Learning About My Prospects is a programme targeting Form 1 and Form 2 students attending Church Schools, State Schools and Private Schools, who are soon called to choose the subjects that for many will determine their future professional career path.
In this context, the Malta Institute of Management (MIM) in collaboration with Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School, Paola, will organise My Future – Learning about My Prospects which is a programme aimed at giving students an oversight of various industries in order to provide them with the necessary knowledge to take the right decision for their future.
The Programme will be based on 10 sessions every Wednesday starting from 12th July and will give students:
1. Technical knowhow by experts in the industry
2. A practical view of what happens in organisations as they will be visiting entities in the respective sector. The industries that will be part of the programme are the following:
- Hotel industry
- Banking sector
- Veterinary
- Audit and Accountancy profession
- Media sector
- Transport and logistics
- Hospital sector
- Manufacturing
- IT and new technology
- Pharmaceutical
The participants will see various operational elements within these sectors in order to understand the various roles and the skills required.
They will have the opportunity to listen and understand the challenges and opportunities that people face in different roles and sector whilst understanding how their choice will impact in their future.
