Press Release

25 January 2019. Melita Data Centre will be showcasing its state-of-the-art hosting facility and network at ICE London, the benchmark international business solutions exhibition for the gaming industry. During the event, taking place at ExCeL between 5 and 7 February, Melita will focus primarily on highlighting how the strength of its multisite hosting and resilience of its fibre internet network can enable growth and security for gaming companies.

Malcolm Briffa, Director of Business Services at Melita Limited, said, “The gaming industry has played an important role in Malta’s economy in recent years. Among the principal factors behind our country’s success in attracting this industry is the strength of our communications infrastructure. With its best in class hosting facility located in Madliena, resilient international network and dedicated fibre connectivity across Malta, Melita remains the obvious full telecom solutions choice for any gaming business looking to relocate to or expand in Malta. ICE London is also the ideal platform to announce the launch of our secondary facility in Mriehel, enabling us to offer a multi-site solution to our gaming customers.”

Built to Tier III specifications, the Melita Data Centre is the only purpose-built facility in Malta and is the largest facility of its kind in Malta. The facility and its services are ISO/IEC 27001:2013 as well as PCI-DSS certified and already host leading gaming brands regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority. Spread on a footprint of over 10,000 m2 this strategically-chosen site is a solitary building situated on high-ground.

Some 30,000 industry decision makers from more than 100 countries are expected to attend ICE London, the largest gathering of solutions providers for all sectors of the gaming industry in the world. As well as the exhibition, a series of seven conferences will also be taking place around the event. These will focus on; Cybercrime and Security, eSports, Casinos, Modernising Lotteries, World Regulatory Briefing, Advertising and Marketing, and Artificial Intelligence.
