Neufund, a Berlin based company which operates in the financial services sector, through the Ethereum blockchain technology, will be opening an office in Malta. Its presence will bring the company’s experience in this area as well as experts in the field of RegTech and the development of blockchain technology to the country. This was stated by the company earlier today.
Neufund operates in the field of equity, which offers a platform based on blockchain technology that allows companies to issue equity tokens through blockchain technology on both a private and public level. Equity Token Offering is based on a hybrid type investment model combining the advantages of an IPO, ICO and VC. Parliamentary Secretary Silvio Schembri held several meetings with the company in order to ultimately finalise this investment.
The CEO of Neufund, Zoe Adamovicz said, “We are impressed with the Maltese government and by its willingness to open the door to new technologies. Malta should serve as an example to other countries and regulators.”
Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation, Silvio Schembri said Neufund will be helping not only to create an eco-system ideal for investors but will further diversify our market.
