Abdul Kabeer Zahed, Governor of Casablanca, praised the UAE’s pioneering development experience, noting the achievements and successes in all sectors and fields. This came during the meeting in Casablanca with Ibrahim Mahmoud Al Mahmoud, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce.. The meeting dealt with ways of developing cooperation relations between companies and institutions in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Kingdom of Morocco.
This comes as statistics indicate that the value of UAE investments in Morocco up to 15 billion dollars, and the number of UAE companies invested in Morocco, 20 institutions.
Zahed stressed that his country is interested in benefiting from the pioneering development experience of the UAE thanks to its wise leadership. He called on the UAE companies to invest in Morocco and benefit from the laws and regulations in force in his country especially in the sectors of energy, agriculture, transportation and infrastructure.
During the meeting, which was attended by Said Al Ketbi, Chargé d’affaires ai of the State Embassy in Morocco, Al Mahmoud reviewed the role, functions and responsibilities of the Chamber and the services it provides to its more than 100,000 members.
As well as facilities and services provided by institutions and bodies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to foreign companies and institutions wishing to work and invest and establish projects in the emirate, calling on Moroccan companies and institutions to benefit from these facilities.
He praised the unique position of the city of Casablanca as the economic capital and the largest state in Morocco and one of the largest and most important investment destinations in the African continent and the North African region, stressing that this visit opens wide prospects to promote investment opportunities in the brotherly Morocco through various projects. In promoting sustainable development in the Kingdom and driving economic growth.
