PL wins election with a historical majority of 38,575

Provisional data by the Electoral Commission indicates that the Labour Party won the 2017 General Elections with a historical win of 38,875 votes, garnering an unprecedented 56.08% of the overall vote. This means that the Labour Party has continued to increase its support.  It won the last election by 35,107 votes.

However, it should be borne in mind that these figures are as yet provisional.
