During a press conference, Dr Simon Busuttil has just announced that he will be resigning from his post as leader of the party. He said he wants to start a process which will take stock of the results and reiterated that first and foremost the party needs to appoint a new leadership.
Yesterday, the Leader of the Opposition, during a television interview on Netnews, said that during the election campaign, the Nationalist Party managed to deliver a message of hope, “What we started, remains valid. In recent weeks, we have created something special. A large number of people believed in our cause. We have lit a flame,” said Simon Busuttil.
